Chinese president offers condolences to Pakistan over train collision

Chinese President Hu Jintao on Wednesday sent a message of condolence to his Pakistani counterpart Pervez Musharraf over a train collision in southern Pakistan that killed at least 119 people.

Hu, on behalf of the Chinese people and in his own name, offered his condolences, through Musharraf, to the victims' families and the injured, and expressed deep grief over the those killed in the accident.

Three passenger trains collided earlier Wednesday near Ghotki in Pakistan's southern Sindh province, killing at least 119 and leaving another 130 injured.
