Saab recalls part of its cars
font size

GM China decided on July 11, 2005 to recall part of Saab 9--3 (03--05 style) cars in China.

According to the investigation by Saab Sweden, the vacuum tube check valve of brake booster in some of the Saab 9--3 (9440) produced by Saab couldn't meet the standard of life-long service. Long-term use, especially in tropical regions, could lead to premature breakdown of the check valve, resulting in the weakening or inefficacy of the brake assist property.

The cars being recalled this time are 212 Saab 9--3 (9440) cars and 17 Saab 9--3 (9440) open cars produced during the period from July 2002 to March 2005.
