Wang Zhaoguo, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), vowed in Beijing on July 14 to further enhance exchanges between youths of China and the Philippines.

Wang said the exchange of visits by youths in the two countries is conducive to mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

Wang made the remarks when meeting with a 113-member Philippine youth delegation, headed by Paolo Benigno A.Aquino, president of the National Youth Commission of the Philippines.

Wang expressed the hope that young people and youth organizations of the two countries take the opportunity to enhance cooperation and exchanges in various fields.

The delegation, including government officials, entrepreneurs and university students, came to China at the invitation of the All-China Youth Federation.

Aquino said he would make more efforts to promote friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between youths of the two countries.
