China's forex reserves reach $711 bln

A report released by the People's Bank of China on July 14 shows that China's foreign exchange reserves reached $711 billion by the end of June, $101 billion more than at the beginning of this year and $33.7 billion more than in the same period of last year.

First-6-month deposit balance reaches 28.3 trillion yuan

A report released by the People's Bank of China on July 14 shows that China' financial institutions held a deposit balance (including both RMB and foreign currencies) of 28.3 trillion yuan by the end of June, which increased by 16.8 percent year on year. RMB deposit balance reached 16.9 trillion yuan, up by 17.2 percent year on year.
