    Chinese beer safe to drink: authority

In response to recent media reports alleging that Chinese beer contains too much formaldehyde, China's State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (SAQSIQ) reported Friday that Chinese beer is safe to drink as its formaldehyde content is much lower than the ceiling set by the World Heath Organization (WHO).

    First magazine in Russian on China published

    Chinese President meets with EU Commission President

    Large-scale searching underway in Leeds

    A squad of police patrol the blanked-off region of Beeston in Leeds, a southern Britain town July 14, 2005. The Sky TV Station revealed that on July 12, police arrested several who are suspicious of plotting the London terror attacks. A large-scale searching is underway but no further details are disclosed.
