Israeli helicopter fires rockets at car in West Bank
font size

An Israeli helicopter fired at least two rockets at a car that drove in the town of Salfit near the West Bank city of Nablus Friday afternoon, killing three Hamas militants, witnesses and medics said.

The helicopter flew over the area and then fired rockets at the car.

Two huge explosions were heard and ambulances rushed to the scene, and local residents found bodies of the three militants inside the car that was completely destroyed.

The airstrike was apparently an Israeli retaliation to the ongoing Hamas rocket attacks on Israel and Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip.
