E. Guinea vows to adhere to one-China policy

Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo said in Malabo Saturday that his country will stick to the One-China policy and work to further promote bilateral ties which will benefit the people of both countries.

Obiang said while meeting Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Lu Guozeng that Equatorial Guinea is forever a reliable friend of China, which has selflessly helped his country in economic and social development efforts, according to reports reaching here.

Lu, for his part, said the Chinese government cherishes its traditional friendship with Equatorial Guinea and is looking forward to cooperating with its government to enhance bilateral relations.

Lu arrived in Malabo, the Equatorial Guinean capital, on Saturday for a working visit to the Central African country. He also held talks with Equatorial Guinean Foreign Minister Pastor Micha Ondo Bile.
