Egyptian Interior Minister Habib el- Adli will reiterate Egypt's basic stance toward Iraq in a meeting of Iraq's neighboring countries due in Istanbul, Turkey, on Monday, the official MENA news agency reported on July 17.
Adli left Cairo Sunday noon for Turkey to take part in a meeting at the level of interior ministers.
At the opening session, Adli will deliver a speech reiterating Egypt's basic stance toward Iraq and its people as well as Egypt's readiness to enhance Iraqi police capabilities and train them on Egyptian soil.
The Egyptian minister is expected to probe with his counterparts means to bolster cooperation in the security domain.
The participants will discuss ways to restore stability in Iraq and control Iraq's borders with its neighbors to prevent infiltration by foreign gunmen through the borders.
