26 Confucius academies set up around the world

Till now, there are about 100 overseas organizations consulting with China about cooperation in establishing Confucius academies, according to China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. Up to the middle of July, 26 Confucius academies have already been set up around the world. There are also many organizations that have signed letters of intent with China.

It is said that China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language has preliminarily planed to set up 100 Confucius academies around the world through cooperation with overseas organizations. The number of Confucius academies is to see further increase in the next few months.
