Chinese FM meets Nigerian National Security AdviserChina is ready to continuously push forward relations with Nigeria, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said in Beijing Monday. Li made the remarks when meeting with visiting Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, National Security Adviser to Nigerian President. Since the two countries established diplomatic ties 34 years ago, Li said, China and Nigeria have enjoyed a sound development in bilateral relations. The two sides have kept smooth communication and cooperation in international affairs, as well as frequent high-level exchanges and enlarging cooperation in economy and trade. With joint efforts, the Sino-Nigerian relations have ushered into a period of rapid and all-round development. China appreciates Nigeria's stance on adhering to the one-China policy and is willing to push forward bilateral friendly cooperative relations to a new level, Li said. Gusau said China and Nigeria, sharing common interests in many aspects, should continue to strengthen bilateral friendly ties. Nigeria is willing to enhance cooperation with China in various aspects.
