font size

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero arrived in Beijing Thursday morning for a 3-day official visit to China as a guest of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

During his stay, Chinese top leaders Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao and Jia Qinglin will meet or hold talks with him on separate occasions. They will exchange views on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.

A number of agreements on trade, economic and cultural cooperation will be signed during Zapatero's visit, during which seminars on trade and economic cooperation will also be organized, according to sources with the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

It is Zapatero's first visit to China since he took office as Spanish prime minister last April.
