Shanghai maintains double-digit GDP growth

In the first half-year of 2005, Shanghai realized a gross domestic product of 393.064 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3 percent, according to the statistics authority of Shanghai.

The secondary industry saw an added value of 211.739 billion yuan, up 11.2 percent; the tertiary industry 178.381 billion yuan, up 9.6 percent. Investment, consumption and export have all grown by about 10 percent.
