Senior Chinese leader Jia Qinglin met in Beijing Thursday with a group of overseas youth of Chinese origin, encouraging them to contribute more to China's construction and development.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), called on these young people, who are members of "the sixth exchange group of outstanding overseas youth gathering in China," to continue their efforts to promote the country's reunification cause and the friendship between China and the rest of the world.
