Japan urged to help rescue missing Chinese sailorsChina requested Japan's relevant departments to lend a land for rescuing the missing Chinese sailors in a cargo ship collision accident, according to website of China's Foreign Ministry Friday. The accident happened early Friday off the Japanese Pacific coast between a Japanese and a Malta-registered cargo ship. The website story said that the Chinese embassy in Japan has confirmed that 21 Chinese sailors were aboard the sunk Wei Hang 9 cargo ship. Of them, eight are still missing, one dead and one hospitalized. The rest 11 crew members were in safe conditions. It said that the Chinese embassy in Japan has formed an emergency team to deal with the aftermath. The embassy has contacted with relevant Japanese departments to search and rescue the missing.
