US: decision on restriction of Chinese woolen trousers delayed
font size

The United States told China on Saturday that it has decided to delay the decision on whether it will restrict Chinese woolen trousers after China reacted strongly Friday on its notice of the decision.

Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Saturday that China has "noticed the US prudent attitude in making the decision."

The US side told the ministry that it will not make the final decision until the end of July.

On Friday, the ministry made a strong protest after it received a notice from the US side that the US has decided to restrict Chinese woolen trousers.

The US imposed restriction on seven categories of Chinese textile goods and garments earlier this year. The two sides have held several rounds of talks but failed to reach an agreement.
