Harbin's subway construction plan approved by state

The subway construction plan of Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has been formally approved by the State Council, a person in charge of the Development and Reform Commission of the city told People's Daily reporter.

This rail transportation project involves a total investment about 16.3 billion yuan, and the first-stage construction will be completed by the end of 2008.
