Thai deputy PM meets CPC delegation
font size

It's a fixed policy for the Thai government and the ruling Thai Rak Thai Party to further the friendly relations with China, said Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Phinij Jarusombat.

The Thai deputy PM made the above remarks on Monday when meeting with a visiting Communist Party of China (CPC) delegation headed by Hu Jiayan, deputy secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee of the CPC.

The Thai Rak Thai Party has also put great importance to maintaining good relations with the CPC, a statement issued by the CPC delegation on Tuesday quoted Phinij as saying.

Phinij also called on the two parties to further their friendly relations and exchanges so as to push forward the Thailand-China relations in a comprehensive way.

The CPC delegation arrived in Bangkok on Sunday.

Thailand is the last stop of the CPC delegation's good-will visit to three Southeast Asian countries-- Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
