China adopted a positive and constructive attitude in consultations with the other five parties to the six-nation talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, spokesman with the Chinese delegation Qin Gang said Tuesday.

As host of the six-way talks, China has tried its best to facilitate the talks by providing reception services and the venue, Qin said at a news briefing.

As one of the participants in the talks, China takes a positive and constructive attitude in discussions with the other five countries, listening to their opinions and creating conditions favorable for negotiators to make progress.

The Chinese government attaches great importance to the six-party talks, Qin said, adding that China is ready to do anything conducive to improving relationship among different parties, enhancing mutual understanding and mutual trust, and achieving results in the talks.
