China's farm produce price rises 4.1 percent in 1st half year

China's farm produce price rose 4.1 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2005, according to a survey released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Tuesday.

The producer prices of planting, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery grew 1.8 percent, 2.5 percent, 6.1 percent, and 5.4 percent respectively in the period. The NBS said the figures were obtained from a survey on 31,000 agricultural production and management units throughout the country.
