131 cases reported, 27 dead after swine virus infection

Till 12:00 on July 27, the reported number of infection caused by a kind of a swine virus known as streptococosis II has reached 131, including eight confirmed in laboratory, 76 through clinical diagnosis and 47 suspected, according to the health authority of southwest China's Sichuan Province.

Eleven people have been released from hospital, 21 are in critical condition and 27 have been dead.

The new 14 cases, except for two outbreaks on July 26, are all previous infections found this time through strengthened searching.
