Chinese vice FM holds banquet in honor of chief negotiators in six-party talks
font size

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo hosted a banquet in honor of the chief negotiators in six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing Thursday noon.

Dai met with the heads of delegations before the luncheon started. The delegation heads seemed easy and relaxed in the banqueting hall, chatting and smiling.

The delegations of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States held an one-on-one meeting for about three hours Thursday morning, according to sources here.

The details of the meeting were not immediately available.

The outcome of the DPRK-US bilateral consultations is widely believed to have an impact, to a large extent, on the development of the current round of six-party talks, which also involves China, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Japan.
