United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recently approved setting up of International Confucius Award.

International Confucius Award aims at encouraging the presidents, ministers and experts in the world who have made outstanding contributions to education, culture and philosophy, etc.

The award will be presented in Paris once every year, emphasizing a particular theme annually.
