South China's Yunnan Province exported more than 200 million US dollars worth of farm produce in the first half of this year, up 20.3 percent year on year, according to the Kunming Customs.
The province maintained steady export growth trend in the period, with structure of export products further improved, the source said.
The province also witnessed further diversification in the export of farm products with quality upgrading.
However, there remained a lot to improve in the aspects of storage, transport and in-depth processing of farm produce as well as lowering of the pesticide residue in the agricultural products, the source said.
The ASEAN nations remained the province's major markets which accounted for 36.8 percent of the province's total farm produce exports in the January-June period. And exports of farm produce to the EU countries also saw an increasing trend, the source added.
