Customs cracks over 5,000 smuggling cases in first half year

China seized 5, 046 smuggling cases, which are valued at 4.32 billion yuan and suspected of tax dodging and evasion worth of 740 million yuan in the first half of this year, according to latest statistics from Chinese General Administration of Customs.

Various kinds of smuggling acts have been heavily crushed by the Customs.

217 cases are in the channel of processing trade, valued at 1.04 billion yuan and suspected of tax dodging and evasion worth of over 220 million yuan, accounting for one quarter of the total respectively.
