Israeli army troops on Saturday tightened security measures on West Bank's towns and cities, where they blocked citizens' movement between the south and the north, Palestinian security sources and residents said.
The sources complained that the Israeli soldiers obstructed the transportation of the pedestrians on the checkpoints and forced them to wait for several hours under the excuse of checking out their identities.
Eyewitnesses in northern West Bank said that Israeli army troops erected at predawn new army checkpoints in the outskirts of the refugee camp of Fare'a near Tubas in the area.
Israeli army vehicles stationed at the entrances of the refugee camp chased several Palestinians till the refugee camp's alleyway as provocative step, they added.
In Qabateya town south of Jenin, an Israeli army force backed by armored vehicles and tanks stormed the town and searched into the residents houses, according to Palestinian security sources.
The Israeli soldiers arrested two Palestinians, 55-years-old Rashed Abu Rab and 18-years-old Mahmoud Saba, during the raid, said the sources, adding that Israeli army also stormed the town on Friday and arrested 18-years-old Rami Abu Rab.
In Dora town west Hebron, Israeli army arrested two residents during houses searching, sources closed to the detainees' families said.
The Israeli army surrounded the house of the detainee Maher Rajoub and forced the family to stay in one room. The soldiers searched the house and arrested their son taking him to unknown place, added the sources.
