Negotiators are to embark on a working-level discussion over the draft of a joint document Sunday morning as the current round of six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue entered into the sixth day.
The heads of the six delegations to the talks agreed at their meeting Saturday morning that a joint document would be issued to record the results of this round of talks.
The Chinese side presented the draft at the meeting.
US chief delegate Christopher Hill said here Saturday night that every relevant party was operating for the final document, but it was hard for the document to come out Sunday.
Hill, also US assistant secretary of state, said it was a key moment that China distributed a text based on the issues talked by the six parties before.
"The Chinese text represents a good basis for future negotiations and future discussions," said Hill, acknowledging that it is also "a good basis for final document and final agreement."
"We know it takes time," he said.
