China's Gezhouba Water and Power (Group) Corporation signed a contract with the Department of Hydroelectric Power of Myanmar under the Ministry of Electric Power in Yangon for the implementation of a dam project of the Yeywa Hydropower Project, the largest in Myanmar. The 46.3 million USD worth of contract is the fourth for the Yeywa project signed between China and Myanmar. The 790-megawatt four-generator hydropower plant is 50 kilometers southeast of Mandalay, a city in north Myanmar.
