font size

An expert on criminal law said that the Chinese government is in the process of drafting an anti-terrorism law, according to China Youth Daily report.

Professor Zhao Bingzhi, who is a member of the drafting committee, said terrorism prevention and punishment is a growing concern for the international community.

The professor noted that existing international protocols against terrorism are insufficient to curb the indiscriminate terrorist activities which are spreading across the world.

He called for international standards for punishment and preventive measures and to guarantee human rights in the fight against terrorism.
