China has decided to put off an anti-dumping investigation against imported Furan phenol made in Japan, European Union (EU) and the United States by another six months to Feb. 12, 2006, the Ministry of Commerce announced Thursday in Beijing.
In its related announcement released Thursday, the ministry said it postpones the investigation because the case is very complicated. The ministry launched the investigation into the imported chemicals on August 12, 2004.
Furan phenol, a kind of chemical raw material, can be used as an intermediate in pesticide and medicine.
