HK chief executive expects Policy Address to reflect public aspirations
font size

Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) Donald Tsang said Thursday he will consider views from all sectors and do his best to ensure his October Policy Address meets public aspirations.

He made the remark after a Policy Address consultation meeting with the Liberal Party on Thursday, according to a government press release.

Tsang said the party had contributed many ideas on the business environment as well as relations between the Government and the Legislative Council.

Other issues covered enhancing governance, promoting a harmonious society, and economic development.

Tsang said he will meet lawmakers, District Council members, and the professional, welfare, labor, and business sectors in the coming months to seek their views.

He said the Government cannot handle all issues simultaneously and it is important to set priorities. Prompt and decisive action will be taken to address the top-priority issues, he pledged.
