CPC official meets ROK guests

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee met with Ban Ki-Moon, minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Republic of Korean (ROK) in Beijing Thursday.

Wang spoke highly of the sound cooperation between China and the ROK in important international and regional affairs, appreciating efforts the ROK government made to promote friendly communication between parties from the two countries.

Ban spoke highly of the important roles that China has played in maintaining peace and stability in North-East Asian region. He said that the ROK will keep close cooperation with China in all aspects.

During the meeting, they also exchanged views on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issues and other international and regional affairs of common concern.
