The oil pipeline starts from Kazakhstan's Atasu in the west and ends in Alataw Pass of China's Xinjiang in the east. Running a full length of 988 kilometers, it is designed for an annual transmission capacity of 10 million tons at initial stage. Started from September 2004, the construction will be completed in December 2005.
