Tickets for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games won't be priced beyond Chinese people's consumption capability so that more people will have the opportunity to watch the events, said Jiang Xiaoyu, executive vice-president of Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, during an online chat with netizens at BOCOG's official website.
But of course, those for more important events or for seats with a better view will be higher priced, Jiang said.
The ticket work will be started next year, Jiang disclosed. Ticket agents, both international and domestic, will be decided through legal procedures in an open and fair way.
There are altogether 9 million tickets for the whole Games, but not all of them are for sale, because some are reserved for athletes, IOC members and other related people, Jiang said.
