China tourism income to rank third in the world in 5 years

In the first six months of this year, China received 58.31 million overseas travelers, a 13.38 per cent increase year on year, with tourism income reaching 14.22 billion US dollars said Shao Qiwei, director of the China National Tourism Administration, at National Tourism Working Conference'' on August 18.

He predicted China will rake in 42.6 billion US dollars of foreign currency in 2010, increasing by about 8 per cent annually, and is expected to rank third in the world.
