It is reported that the chief of National Tourism Administration Shao Qiwei revealed at the national tourism working conference on August 18, that seen from the trend of the tourism home and abroad, the 3 market development strategies of "entry-tour, exit-tour and domestic tour" would be adjusted to "vigorously developing the entry-tour, standardizing the exit-tour and comprehensively promoting the internal travel".
Our market development strategies for tourism before were "vigorously developing entry-tour, actively developing internal travel and appropriately developing exit-travel". Shao Qiwei says, the adjustment is to meet the requirements for the change of the market, to show the developing direction of tourism, in the meanwhile to better explore two markets of international and domestic, two resources and making them mutually develop.
It is learnt that foreign exchange revenue in tourism in the first half of this year was up to $14.221 billion, increasing by 21.41% compared with the same period of last year; the number of people traveling abroad was up to 14.6 million. By July, the total of destination countries and regions of travel abroad for Chinese citizen approved by the State Council reached 109.
