HK bankruptcy rate goes down

There were 943 bankruptcy petitions presented in July, a drop of 9.4 percent compared with last year's average monthly figure of 1,041, according to Hong Kong Official Receiver's Office Friday.

It said during the month, the court made 693 bankruptcy orders,down 188 from the previous month's figure of 881, and a drop of 38.8 percent on the average monthly figure of 1,133 last year.
