The 4th International Investment and Trade Expo of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) is expected to be held in Tianjin, the largest port city in north China, from Oct. 12 to 15.
"Humanities, Personality, Harmony---Modern City Building and Development" will be the theme for the expo, said the organizers, China's Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Construction and the Tianjin municipal government.
The expo will have 800 exhibition booths with a total area of 20,000 square meters, which will be divided into six parts. On display will be advanced technologies and equipment featuring the achievements in construction and architecture of the PECC members and regions as well as that of some non-PECC members.
During the four-day expo, organizers will also invite famous specialists on city planning and architectural design, CEOs of well-known real estate developers and senior government officials to deliver speeches at a series of forums on topics such as the industrialization of residential buildings in the 21st century, city building and development.
The annual meeting of China's real estate developers will be held simultaneously.
So far, nearly 600 organizations and companies from more than 20 countries and regions of the European Union members and PECC members have signed up for the expo, the organizers said.
Tianjin is also the host of the three previous sessions of the PECC International Investment and Trade Expo, which started in 1999.
