An Aircraft with six occupants crashed into a house in Durban North, about 600 km southof Johannesburg, on Sunday morning.

Police spokeswoman Captain Gugu Sabela said that all occupants including a pilot were taken to the nearby Umhlanga Rocks hospital.

The pilot was in a serious condition after he and a passenger were trapped in the light aircraft which nosedived into the roof of a house.

The home's lounge and dining room were damaged.

Sabela said that the passengers included an Austrian family whowere on holiday on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast when they decidedto take an aerial tour of the Durban area.
