Macao's composite consumer price index (CCPI) in July rose 4.75 percent over the same period of last year, according to official statistics issued Monday.
The figures from the Statistics and Census Service showed that the index grew 3.69 percent in the first seven months over the same period of last year.
The increase was mainly due to the growth in electricity fees, rising prices of newspaper, fresh vegetables, beverages, food stuffs and increased expenditure on housing and leisure, according to the statistics.
