A Nepalese delegation, led by Finance Minister Madhukar Shumsher JB Rana has left Kathmandu for Beijing to attend the forthcoming 9th meeting of Nepal-China inter- government economic and technical committee, Radio Nepal reported Tuesday.

At the meeting, talks will be held on the important areas of cooperation including bilateral trade, investment, economic and financial cooperation and private sectors while taking up the issues on which agreement was reached in the 8th meeting for the analysis, the radio said.

The two countries are expected to sign agreements on the sectors if understanding is reached on those sectors, according to the radio.

Nepal and China are enjoying great potential in developing economic relations, and the two countries can cooperate in almost all fields including banking, construction, airlines, insurance, agriculture and industry, Rana noted, adding, "The meeting will be very meaningful as it is being held after eight years".

The finance minister is also scheduled to meet with his Chinese counterpart as well as other Chinese officials, the radio noted.

The meeting is scheduled for August 25 to 26, the radio added.
