In the first seven months this year, China's output of machinery used in environmental protection soared 84.16 percent year on year, the China Securities Journal quoted the China Federation of Machinery Industry as saying on Wednesday.
During the period, the output of equipment used in prevention of water pollution jumped 240 percent year on year, figures show.
Power generating equipment with capacity of 48.27 million kilowatts was produced in the first seven months, growing 35.42 percent year on year, according to figures from the newspaper.
In the first seven months, China's export volume of machinery industry grew 34.65 percent to 364.3 billion yuan (45 billion US dollars), the figures show.
During the period, 99.5 percent of cultural and office machinery produced has been sold, ranking the first among all kinds of machinery, the newspaper said.
Meanwhile, 98.34 percent of automobiles, 98.19 percent of machinery used in project construction and 97.99 percent of farm machinery produced have been sold, it said.
