Australia and China Wednesday end the second round of talks on a free trade zone.
The two sides exchanged information on their respective trade mechanisms during the three-day meeting in Beijing.
Both sides feel satisfied with the result, said a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce after the meeting. He noted this round of talks will be helpful to improve each other's understanding of the other's trade mechanism and set grounds for further talks.
The third round of talks is expected to be held by the end of October this year, according to the spokesman.
The meeting was co-chaired by Zhang Xiangchen, deputy director of the ministry's world trade department and Ric Wells, senior trade official from Australia.
The governments of the two countries began the free trade talks in May in Australia.
