Home-made Benzs embark on UN peacekeeping path
font size

At 10am August 28 Baotou North-Benz Heavy-Duty Truck Co. Ltd. fire salutes when its 70 North-Benz heavy-duty trucks painted with the sign of UN started engines. They would be sent to Sudan as the vehicles of the UN peacekeeping forces stationed in Sudan to help executing the peacekeeping mission there.

North-Benz first provided 101 heavy-duty "peacekeeping trucks" for the UN peacekeeping forces stationed in Liberia in January 2004. North-Benz's good durability and safety increased the transportation force's attendance rate, lowered the failure rate and efficiently met the requirement of the UN transportation task.

North-Benz is one of the heavy-duty truck producing bases in China with the greatest potential for development. It is capable of producing 10,000 medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicles a year.
