The 2005 Meeting of the 21st Century Forum is scheduled to convene in this national capital on Sept. 5-7, said the organizer Monday.

Its theme is "Sustainability -- China and the World". Over 200 politicians, experts and scholars will share their views on the topic during the three-day meeting.

It will be the third meeting for the forum, which held its first and second conferences in 1996 and 2000, respectively.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, is the honorary chairman for the meeting.

Wang Zhongyu, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, is the chairman of the meeting.
