Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of China's National people's Congress, met in Beijing Monday with delegates attending the meeting marking the tenth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women. The delegates included Mozambique Prime Minister Luisa Diogo, Luxembourg's Minister of Family and Integration as well as Minister of Equality of Opportunity Marie-Josee Jacobs, Chairwoman of the Democratic Women's Union of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Pak Sun Hui, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour and Ambassador for Social Cohesion and Parity of the French government Nicole Ameline.
The commemorative meeting opened here Monday with more than 80 delegates from around the world.
