Chinese Premier meets Malaysian deputy PM

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met in Beijing Thursday with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak.

Wen spoke highly of the important measures that the two countries agreed on last year to promote strategic cooperation, saying China would like to enhance cooperation in all fields with Malaysia according to the way the two sides have set forth so as to make new contributions to regional peace, stability and prosperity.

Najib said Malaysia attaches importance to friendly cooperation with China, noting that China's rapid development will bring benefit to the countries in the region including Malaysia.

He said Malaysia hopes to further cooperation with China in economy, trade, energy resources, tourism and other fields.
