To further tap the potential of the Chinese mainland market and showcase Hong Kong's diverse attractions, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is cooperating with the Guangdong Travel trade on the introduction of a series of sightseeing tours in September.

According to a press release from the HKTB Thursday, spearheading the promotions will be the "Hong Kong One Day Tour" on Sept. 3, which has received an enthusiastic response from the travel trade. To date, close to 10,000 Chinese mainland visitors have already signed up for the tour.

The tour itinerary includes visits to Golden Bauhinia Square, the Peak, Avenue of Stars, Ocean Park and some other places.

According to HKTB, the event has received an overwhelmingly positive response and attracted a number of participants.

The HKTB said, it will continue to cooperate with the local and Guangdong travel trade to introduce a series of two to three sight-seeing tours.

Highlighting Hong Kong's diverse attractions, these tours will also include new attractions and elements to encourage visitors to extend their stays and stimulate their spending while in Hong Kong.
