The United Kingdom's Royal Navy warship HMS York makes port call in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region sea water Friday.

According to the officer of HMS York, the ship will stay at Hong Kong for 5 days. During the period, HMS York will be open to visitors and will attend a wreath laying ceremony at Sai Wan Cemetery. In addition, York's ship's Company will be welcomed by a lion Dance on the quayside and the Commanding Officer will review up to 100 local cadets.

Before the ship returns to the UK, it will re-visit Singapore to play a lead role in Exercise BERSAMA LIMA and take part in a second phase of OP CALASH, which involves working as part of a multi-national coalition force, engaged in counter smuggling operations to disrupt the movement of contraband, weaponry, people, oil and drugs.

HMS York weighs 5,200 tones and is 141 meters long. There are about 287 crew on board.
