The corruption case in the Portugal soccer known as "Golden Wissel" involves 171 people, including 10 referees, 27 club directors, mayors and businessmen.
According to in investigation published Friday by a local daily, among those involved are all members of the Referees Council of the Portuguese Soccer Federation.
The newspaper published the complete list of those implicated who will have to respond for supposed crimes linked to corruption in soccer.
Apart of FC Porto President Pinto da Costa and Valentin Loureiro who is President of the Clubs League and an independent candidate to Gondomar Council, on the list appears President of Naval 1 de mayo Aprigio Santos and tens of referees, eight of them of the first division.
Joao Vilas Boas, Carlos Xistra and Cosme Machado are some of the names that have just been disclosed on the list as individuals implicated in the document.
These names come in addition to those of referees Jacinto Paixao, Paulo Paraty, Lucilio Batista, Artur Soares Dias and Paulo Pereira.
International assistant-referees Antonio Perdigao, Devesa Neto and Serafim Nogueira are also included.
The only member of the Referees Council who is not on the list is current Chair Carlos Esteves, who will nonetheless be accused.
