    Survivors of hurrican Katrina in Houston

    Some 20,000 refugees of Hurricane Katrina from New Orleans fill the floor of the Astrodome in Houston, Texas, U.S., September 2, 2005. There are about a hundred thousand refugees here in Houston at present. Since its arrival at southern U.S. last week, Hurricane Katrina has caused great damage to affected areas, claiming thousands of lives and making hundreds of thousands of people homeless.
